Wedding Planning

Wedding plannning has never been so easy. Simply follow the steps below to book your Gretna Green wedding at The Mill Forge.

1) Contact us on 01461 800344 to discuss the availability of your chosen date(s). You can then make a provisional booking which we hold for 10 days without any obligation or deposit.

The provisional booking would include your wedding venue, accommodation and wedding meal as required.


2) Confirm the booking by sending the necessary deposits within 10 days of making the provisional booking. The deposits we require are £20 per room per night , full payment for the Forge and £5 per person for the reception meal.

3) When we receive your booking forms and deposits we will send you written receipts detailing what you have booked with us.

We will also send confirmation and contact details of any other services such as Minister's, Photographers and Pipers which we have booked at your request.

4) Send off deposits as requested to other services providers.

5) Send the M10 Marriage Notice Forms along with all the relevant paperwork and payment to Gretna Registry Office.         Learn More

6) We will contact you by letter 6-8 weeks before the date of your wedding asking for menu choice, drinks required etc and also the balance of payment for your wedding reception.
